Wanda + Sam: Wedding!
Written by Magda and Bartek on June 4, 2009 – 9:15 pm - Wanda and Sam met through a bunch of friends at University. They didn’t think much of it until they found out they own the same breed of dog… That’s when things started getting interesting! Wanda really wanted her dog Yuki to play with Sam’s dog Tidus so they arranged that they would meet up for a “first walk in the park”. That walk lasted 5 hours and we’re pretty sure it’s not because the pups needed an extra long walk! Now Tidus and Yuki are completely inseperable and the same goes for Wanda and Sam. We are big time dog lovers, so right away we clicked with these two. Such genuinely nice people…we seriously need more of them on this planet!
The day started off fantastic. The sun was glimpsing into their hotel rooms but during mass, the rain started coming down. Hard. After the beautiful ceremony in the world famous Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, we were ready to go outside for some photos but much to our dismay, there was a mini Tsunami ripping sideways through the streets of the old Port!!! How horrible!
BUT! After a little bit of thinking we came up with some awesome alternative indoor locations. The rain let up briefly for the horse drawn carriage ride so at least we got that outdoors, yay! Wanda and Sam did an excellent job at posing for us in all these different indoor locations, giving great variety to the photos. Thank you for the wonderful day… oh and the ah-mazing food! Best of luck to the two of you… When Tidus and Yuki decide to get married you know who to call for pics ;)

The bride is ready to go!

Sam, workin’ it on the streets of Montreal’s Old Port!

Anxiously awaiting his bride to be…

We have NO words for this incredibly beautiful church.

Stunning!

Someone’s happy! ;)

After the ceremony, we finally had time to peacefully take some gorgeous images of the two newlyweds. We started off inside the church…

Then we took a little horse drawn carriage ride!

We quickly hopped out to get away from the crazy rain and went indoors again:

One of our favourites of the day!

The rain let up again for a little so we went back to the Old Port for some more photo opportunities:

And finally, we ended off the shoot in the amazing Hotel Nelligan…

Check out the rest of their happy day below! :)

Erin + Joey: Wedding!
Written by Magda and Bartek on May 27, 2009 – 7:54 pm - A whole year later, Erin and Joey who we did an awesome e-session for, finally said their vowes and promised to be with eachother forever! Lucky for us we were there to capture their fairy tale day! It was raining pretty much all day but Erin was having none of that. Being the super bubbly and positive person she is, she somehow managed to make everyone forget that the sky was grey and wet and brought excitement and bright smiles to the entire party! It even stopped raining for a little bit so we quickly snapped some photos at Dow’s Lake at the famous tulip festival too. Even though it rained there were a ton of tourists admiring the flowers, but everyone’s cameras quickly turned to these two newlyweds when we arrived! ;)
Erin and Joey, thank you for the fantastic time and we wish you all the best in your new life together!

Watch out…

Stunning!

Joey’s eyes are that blue!

These trees looked like they came straight out of a fairytale…

Ottawa’s Tulip Festival was a beautiful photo opportunity!

Erin & Joey were seriously workin’ it!

After the 1st dance, everyone came out of nowehere and wrapped them! It was so fun!!!

Magda + Vlad: Wedding!
Written by Magda and Bartek on May 18, 2009 – 10:01 am - It all started when Mirka (one of our dear friends and biggest fan ;)) had come to us over a year ago and asked us to capture her sister Magda’s wedding. We were ecstatic!!!
The wedding took place in downtown Toronto and the beauty of it was that all of the day’s events were in close proximity to one another. Also, instead of having a dinner reception Magda had the fantastic idea of making a lunch wedding reception, which turned out to be one of the most adorable things we had seen. Her every detail was perfect and fitting to exactly the people they are! It was a beautiful and intimate day that was shared with the closest friends and family…and we had the pleasure of capturing it! :)
Lucky for us, they had reserved a beautiful area in Knox College on the university of Toronto campus for some amazing photo opportunities! We also snuck in a few other “forbidden” areas to us (shhhh! you need a permit for photos on the University campus) ;) Thank you both for a wonderful time down in Toronto and we wish that your future be ah-mazing!!!!
We hope you had a blast in Greece! You deserved it!

The Bird cage veil was just stunning on Magda!

“Goin’ to the chapel and we’re gonna get ma-a-a-rried”

Love just beamed from them all day!

Props to Magda for finding such beautiful locations!

We have NO words…

And the light coming through these windows is just angelic…

Saaaay WHAT? GQ? Vogue? ;)

This beautiful necklace was hand made by her sister, Mirka!

Rebeca & Vince: Engaged!
Written by Magda and Bartek on May 5, 2009 – 7:54 pm - Rebeca and Vince are funny! They told us that they’re shy in front of a camera and that they are a little bit nervous for the photoshoot (99% of couples feel this way at first ). After a bit of convincing words that they’re going to ROCK and have a blast, we started off the photo shoot at downtown Ottawa, and raced with the sun to end off in a field and the beach with the beautiful sunset. Aaaaaand just as we expected Rebeca and Vince oozed confidence and struck poses like true models! We had such a blast with them, and their loved showed in every picture making it thaaat much better! Check out the images below ;)
Thanks for the exciting evening and the strawberry daiquiri… we can’t wait for your wedding! xoxo

You can’t make this stuff up:

Rebeca & Vince randomly break out into dance in public, they are so cute!

“Blue Steel”

Wow… :)
